About SAVOYE North America

What does SAVOYE North America do?

SAVOYE North America designs and delivers integrated warehouse automation, logistics software, and supply chain optimization solutions that improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency in distribution operations. The company combines OEM-built technologies such as shuttles, conveyors, and goods-to-person systems with advanced software and system integration to create end-to-end solutions tailored to each customer. It also provides lifecycle services and ongoing support to ensure systems continue to perform and evolve after implementation.

Are you an equipment manufacturer, a systems integrator, or both?

Both. SAVOYE North America designs and builds its own automation technologies, and also partners with third-party technology providers when that is the best fit for the operation. This means tailor-made solutions, system design, seamless integration, and long-term support — without the complexity of managing multiple vendors.

What industries do you support?

SAVOYE North America supports a range of distribution and fulfillment environments including, but not limited to beef, food & beverage, e-grocery, e-commerce, retail, office supplies, industrial goods, and healthcare and regulated operations.

How is SAVOYE North America different from other automation providers?

Unlike providers that focus only on hardware or only on software, SAVOYE North America delivers a complete solution from a single coordinated source: OEM-built automation, advanced software, engineering, and ongoing lifecycle services. Because we design and build our own equipment, and if we determine our technology is the best fit for your solution, you work directly with the people who will implement your system. And because we also function as an integrator, we frequently bring in trusted third-party technology partners to match the right technology to the right operation.

Do you work with companies that already have some automation in place?

Yes. Many customers come to SAVOYE North America with existing automation, WMS software, or partially manual processes they want to build on rather than replace. AiRVOS™ is an advanced software that is equipment-agnostic and designed to integrate with your current systems, and our integrator capability means we can incorporate third-party equipment into a unified solution designed around what you already have.

Getting Started & Project Approach

How do we get started with a project?

You start with a discovery conversation so SAVOYE North America can understand your order profiles, SKU characteristics, throughput targets, facility constraints, and growth plans. From there, you work with our Solutions Design Team to align on a best-fit system design and a practical implementation roadmap.

How do I know if warehouse automation is right for my operation?

Automation typically makes the most sense when an operation is facing rising order volumes, labor constraints, picking accuracy issues, or the need to scale without a proportional increase in cost. SAVOYE North America's engineering team will assess your current processes, model your throughput requirements, and recommend the right level of automation — whether that is a single module or a fully integrated system.

Can you help with retrofits and modernizations in an existing building?

Yes. SAVOYE North America offers upgrade roadmaps and modernization services that can include performance increases, hardware and software upgrades, component replacement, retrofits, and expansions — all designed to minimize disruption to ongoing production.

Do you provide training for operators and maintenance teams?

Yes. SAVOYE North America provides training and on-site support to equip teams to operate and maintain automation systems, with an emphasis on reducing downtime and keeping performance high.

Advanced Software

What is a Warehouse Execution System (WES)?

A WES is software that manages and optimizes real-time execution across the warehouse floor, coordinating the movement of goods, labor, and automation to maximize throughput and reduce bottlenecks.

How is a WES different from a WMS and a WCS in real-time?

A WMS focuses on inventory tracking, order management, and planning. A WCS focuses on direct equipment communication — conveyors, sorters, and similar systems. A WES can function alone with full capabilities but can also sit between the WMS and WCS platforms, orchestrating work in real time across zones based on live conditions.

What is AiRVOS™?

AiRVOS™ is SAVOYE North America's Warehouse Execution System (WES), designed to synchronize and manage automated and robotic equipment in real time — balancing flows and workload while improving responsiveness and performance across the full warehouse operation.

Can AiRVOS™ integrate with third-party equipment and systems?

Yes. AiRVOS™ is equipment-agnostic and built for integration with third-party systems, supporting easier startup and long-term evolution through a flexible architecture. It can also be deployed as a stand-alone WES alongside your existing infrastructure without requiring SAVOYE North America hardware.

What visibility does AiRVOS™ provide to operations teams?

AiRVOS™ provides end-to-end visibility and KPI-based oversight, including real-time updates on equipment status, flow congestion, and alerts tied to business logic and fulfillment execution.

Automated Storage & Retrieval

What is the X-PTS® shuttle system?

X-PTS® is SAVOYE North America's high-performance shuttle system designed for high-density storage and fast retrieval of lightweight loads, supporting both goods-to-person and goods-to-robot operations.

What types of loads can X-PTS® handle?

X-PTS® handles totes, trays, and cartons, and can run different load types on the same level depending on configuration. Load sizes range from approximately 10.4" x 10.4" (265 x 265 mm) up to approximately 32.3" x 24.4" (820 x 620 mm).

Can X-PTS® run in cold environments?

Yes. X-PTS® operates in ambient, refrigerated, and deep-freeze environments down to -13°F (-25°C).

Can maintenance be performed without shutting down the entire system?

Yes. X-PTS® aisles are divided into isolated maintenance zones, so only the impacted zone is paused while the rest of the system continues operating.

What is an AS/RS and how does X-PTS® fit into that category?

An Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS) automatically places and retrieves items from defined storage locations, increasing storage density and picking speed while reducing reliance on manual labor. X-PTS® is SAVOYE North America's primary AS/RS technology, designed to integrate natively with INTELIS® conveyors, GTP workstations, and AiRVOS™ for a fully coordinated fulfillment system.

Goods-to-Person Workstations

What is a goods-to-person (GTP) workstation?

A goods-to-person workstation brings items to operators instead of having operators travel the warehouse, with the goal of reducing travel time and improving accuracy. SAVOYE North America's GTP stations integrate with X-PTS® shuttles, INTELIS® conveyors, and AiRVOS™ for real-time orchestration.

What is a 1-to-1 picking station, and what performance can I expect?

A 1-to-1 station processes one source tote to one destination tote or order container, reducing complexity and errors compared to multi-order picking. SAVOYE North America cites pick rates of approximately 350 to 1,000 lines per hour depending on configuration, with accuracy up to 99.9%.

Can I start with goods-to-person and add robotics later?

Yes. SAVOYE North America's architecture supports evolving from goods-to-person toward goods-to-robot over time without replacing the full setup, depending on initial system design and your automation roadmap.

Conveyors

What is INTELIS®?

INTELIS® is SAVOYE North America's plug-and-play conveyor and built from standard independent elements that connect on-site, supporting reconfiguration as operational needs change.

Can INTELIS® be expanded or reconfigured later?

Yes. INTELIS® is designed for scalable installation and rapid changes, including the ability to extend, relocate, and reintegrate modules based on a new configuration.

Automated Packing

What is JIVARO®?

JIVARO® is SAVOYE North America's automated carton height reduction and closing system. It detects the fill level of each carton, trims excess height, folds and seals, then labels the carton to produce a right-sized parcel — reducing wasted void space and excess packaging material at the source.

What impact does JIVARO® have on shipping costs and packaging waste?

SAVOYE North America states JIVARO® can reduce parcel volume by up to approximately 30%, with corresponding reductions in corrugate and dunnage usage and a lower CO₂ impact per order. Results vary by carton mix and operation design.

How fast can JIVARO® run?

JIVARO® throughput reaches up to approximately 1,200 boxes per hour depending on configuration.

Does JIVARO® integrate with the rest of the system?

Yes. JIVARO® is part of SAVOYE North America's integrated ecosystem, with INTELIS® conveyors feeding cartons and AiRVOS™ coordinating upstream and downstream flow.

What other packing automation does SAVOYE North America offer?

In addition to JIVARO®, SAVOYE North America offers the PAC 600® — an automated parcel-forming machine that forms parcels from flat blanks, creating right-sized packaging for each order. It is adjustable to anticipated production speeds and supports quick format changes, making it well suited for operations with varying order profiles.
